Hey guys, I know the name says rover_owner but I also own an import '88 Pajero Exceed 4D56 intercooled 2.5 turbo diesel.
A bit of background first, I've owned the Paj since 2004 I was (and still am) the first owner since it was brought over and it only had 42,000 klm on the clock, it's been a pretty good rig mainly used for camping trips and the odd towing duty and still only has just under 130,000 klm on it now.
Several months ago the diesel pump started leaking like a sieve so it was left sitting for months untill I had the readies to get it sorted (I run it now and then starting on a booster pack), I pulled the pump out and had it overhauld by Diesel Australia and decided it was time to replace the buggered glow plugs, after replacing the pump and the glow plugs she fired up (with the booster pack) and run great although I will still get the pump timing checked.
Now the question, I replaced both the bateries with new ones and since doing so the tacho stopped working and the glow plug relay stopped working, (I've checked the relay (s) and their ok) I checked the fuses in the fuse box in the dash and all the fusable links under the hood around the engine but can't find the one for the glow plug control relay which according to a wiring diagram also feeds the tacho, can anyone give me a clue whrere to look (?) as this is bugging the sh#t out of me...
laters, Jim.

Arent they on the end of the dash board, drivers side???
IE, open the drivers door, and where the end of the dash meets the door (when closed) they are under a cover in a slight recess...
I dont think there are any others, except for the shitty fuseable links at the battery.

Re: Ok so I'm a d!#k head.... and I can't find the fuse???
I have a v6 and there are a couple of fusable links behind the fuse box. also there are some relays there as well (on the right side of the drivers footwell). good luck with it. paul.
Re: Ok so I'm a d!#k head.... and I can't find the fuse???
cant remember what exact model it was, or even if was mitsubishi,
I remember that theere was a fusable link up under the fuse box in the engine bay. You had to remove the bolts on the fuse block to side of body and flip it over to see or get to the suckers.
Good luck
