Factory Locker Switch

Post by McLarryBob »

Hey all I have a 1991 Sahara 80 with the factory lockers. They are great but the factory switch annoys me a bit sometimes. You can have just the rear locker on or front and rear. You can't just have the front locker on.
Has anyone rewired these to 2 seperate toggle switches or anything simialr? I want to do this but i'm not too sure how compicated the wiring is behind the switch.

Thanks in advance.

the locker function is controlled by an ECU module. I am fairly usre the ECU wont let the rear diff lock until the centre diff is locked, and it also wont let the front lock until the rear is locked.

You can bypass the ECU and use relays to operate the lockers in whatever order you like.
