Lift kit = Major oil leak?
Hey i was wondering if anyone has had this problem or could know what it could be? I put a 2" lift kit in my 85 model auto rangie the other day and the next day there was a massive oil puddle under it from the auto trans? and i dont think ive hit anything when jacking the body or anything up cause i wasnt anywhere near the trans... anyone have any ideas??
oil leak
I had a bit of a look today after pulling off the extractors and crossmember and the leak seems to be somewhere above the pan in about the same region as the oil cooler lines but i still cant see exactly where its coming from cause you cant get in there!!! grrrr....

Did you lift your rad or made brackets to keep it in line with fan ?
I have the same vehicle and my auto cooler lines arent long enough to cope with a body lift, so you either need to buy longer lines or kep the rad at the same height as the motor/ fan.
Saddle up tonto, its the not so loanrangie! . 98 TDI DISCO lightly modded with more to come.

we did not move mine and they are okay
oil leak
Nah i didnt do a body lift, it was only a suspension lift and I know that the leak is auto trans fluid cause there is a massive puddle of it under my car... I can sorta see where its leaking from (somewhere near the trans cooler lines) but just not exactly where and why...
