$495USD each machined from 4340 and hardened.

I don't think anyone has broken one of these yet.

Bartso is getting custom axles done for his 406 diffs as he has already had his housing cut & centres moved. Give him a call & see what he has in mind. You both might be able to help each other ?

The only issue is that the mog portals use helical gears. There are guys in the US who do those sort of speeds regularly without problems.

If worried, you could fit an oil recirc/cooling system, or use straight cut portals like volvo or maxi-drive.

Hey Jeff let me know how you get on with the custom shafts as Im thinking I may need to narrow one side of mine.
Even if I offset the rims it sits farken wide with the disc conversion.
Also if I narrow the short side on the front I can fit the diff around the motor a bit better.

you can get a go fast ratio set for the 406's pretty $$$$$ though, you'd be better off grafting a different centre into them

I was watching some footage from a comp over there the other day, saw your car, thought "wow, they're big big tyres for a Range Rover".

Took me a few minutes to realise they were the old wheels I built

should be no worries to get axles made local. Done quite a few, just need to know axle length, front engine or rear engine? Last time I got them made it was about $650 an axle. That's for a 404 axle.

I am currently working on 406/416.

PM me if you want to know more, there is a few tricks you should know about.

PM Bartso as he has 406's but he has cut them down & moved the centres to suit his needs. Not sure if your lengths will work for him but no harm in finding out.
