Australian 4x4 Masters -Round 5 [No Engineering]

Post by 4x4 Masters »

AUSTRALIAN 4x4 MASTERS SERIES

Eastern Creek Raceway
Saturday 23th October 2010 Day/Nighter

Round 5 & The Finals

Australia’s newest 4x4 event on your doorstep at Eastern Creek Raceway

See some of NSW best drivers and 4x4s racing side by side. There is plenty to see on the day with thirty 4x4s competing on six man made courses. Also see demonstrations from the Outlaw Trucks and Buggies as well as a mini-comp by the amazing trials bikes.

Entries are still available but limited so hurry. As a trail run for next year we have dropped the engineering rule for this round. All un-engineered vehicles must attend pre-classification at Eastern Creek on 9th October from 8:30am to 10:30am. Vehicles must still be registered and be within the spirit of the event.

All competitors are competing for cash prize money kindly sponsored by Snake Racing

1st place: $800
2nd place: $500
3rd place: $300

Gates open at 8am, competition begins at 9am.

The Finals Shootout

At approximately 5pm we will link parts of courses 1,2 & 3 to create a super course for the Finals

The top 5 placed teams in the Series drive an elimination format with one team being crowned the 4x4 Masters Grand Champions.

The best drivers in the best 4x4's under lights should make for some red hot action, don't miss it.

Elimination format will be the McIntyre final five system

Round Name Team 1 Team 2
A Elimination Final Rank 4 v Rank 5
B Qualifying Final .Rank 2 v Rank 3

C 1st Semi Final Loser B v Winner A
D 2nd Semi Final Rank 1 v Winner B

E Preliminary Final Loser D v Winner C

F Grand Final Winner D v Winner E

Question... is the final five shootout going to be based on the team standings after the end of
Round 4?

Or do all the teams then have to complete yet another round to be considered for that 'final five' shootout on the day?

Im thinking that if scenario 2 is the case, you're going to have some damn tired drivers and navvies
to do the shootout. Which could (and inevitably will) lead to carnage of both men and machines.

Your original intention was to have 4 rounds and then a final shootout.

Changing the goalposts is not always the best way to play the game.

Very fuggin funny RUFF . :fist:

Just to be clear so my bad grammer does not confuse anyone, here is the current score board.

1 Toyota 2138

2 Suzuki 2108

3 Bong Bong 2098

4 On All Fours 1974

5 Blue Mountains 1766

6 BBM 1748

7 Off Road 1547

8 Nepean 1304

9 Macarthur 1292

10 Oz Krawlers 894

11 Suzuki 2 867

12 Traction 4 465

13 Macarthur 2 94

I'm not doing to bad considering my navi rolled my truck at the 10 point mark when he had to drive in round 1, and then rolled his truck at the 30 point when he was my teamate in round 4 .

I have plenty more excuses but doubt anyone would care  .
