curious, why do you want reduction gears on high range?

high range is 1:1 ie NO reduction

Reduction in high range helps return your ratio's closer to standard when you step up tyre size. But depending on the gear set and transfer case design its not always possible.

IMO on road gearing is improved with larger tyres on an 80. I wouldnt change the Hi range gearing

crawler gears in Lo range fixes it for offroad.
