Raised springs, standard shocks?

Post by Nev62 »

What is the net effect of raised springs (2") and standard shocks? It would be a tempory messure (it is a money thing).

Not that much of an issue on the road.

If you take it offroad there will be a chance of shock failure eg snapping in half.

Normally I would but have warped my rear leaf springs. Instead of a bow, they look more like a wave.

wheras I did that and busted a shock going over a speed bump 3 or 4 days after I installed the springs ..

Thanks guys. Next question is who in Sydney (prefer southwest) have good prices and what is a good price for leafs??? Are places like Pedders ok or stick to 4X4 outlets (a mate saved over $350 going there instead of 4X4 outlet and all is fine but I don't want to find a saggy rear in a couple of months),
