ideal gas system-5.0l SC GU

Post by simcoe »

Hi guys

iv currently got a 5.0l GU running a newish sprint omvl converter and mixer ring which is limiting power somewhat and recently i picked up a yella terra whipple charger for cheap, now the question is will my current gas system handle it??

Or should i look at gas injection(favourate option)
or strait gas using the impco 425 converter?( can the 425 be run with a duel fuel system??)
im in no rush to fit the charger so im happy to source all parts which would do the best job and get it all done in one hit.

getting parts is no probs as i can get basically everything at trade or cheaper.
last time i got prices for all necessary parts to convert to gas injection it was about 2k.
not sure what the impco set up will cost?

i have been reading alot on the tb42 turbo's that everyones building and getting as much info as i can on the impco systems but im not sure on how they will go with a top mount charger..

any help would be great!
oh and
00 td42t wagon
stock engine, set up for work and play!
engine soon to be honking ;-)

I'm building a similar set up atm but will be using a Vortech charger instead.
Mine is also dual fuel so will be using a 440cfm gas research throttlebody along with twin B2 convertors & lock offs...
