99 Lux transfer issues

Post by tosboost »

Hey everyone
Now, i have a 99 hilux...only just bought it and the 4x4 has not worked....after diagnosing the problems i have come to the conclusion that one of the solenoids in the engine bay for the ADD does not work and the other problem is that the electric transfer motor does not work.... i have tried and tested the electric transfer and it is buggered.!
my question is...

Is it possible to remove the non ADD/electric transfer case and replace it with a manual gear level type

will both the bolts on the gearbox be the same and the propeller shaft be the same length., mate the same way etc????

any thoughts or if anyone has done the conversion your input would be greatly appreciated!

Cheers
Scott
