Hilux bonnet latches

Post by DUDELUX »

My bonnet latch broke today, it a LN65, 86 lux dual cab,
Im not sure exactly what happened, but I know that at least 1 spring fell off, and another part is bent. It hasnt been quite right for a while.
My question is....

Do I get a replacement from the same model as mine, or will any lux/surf/4runner bonnet latch fit??

Or should I just go with something like a set of aftermarket bonnet pin type locks??

Thanks.

Tony I reckon just grab a latch assembly from a wrecker and fit it to yours. Spray it all down with crc/wd40 and call it done. Later model latch might fit but I can't see any advantage in using one. Bonnet pins are really not needed unless you want "the look"....
