Round 3 of the Tough Tracks Challenge is almost upon us being held at Landcruiser Mountain Park In Jimna, Queensland between 25-26 September.

There is a club meeting tonight (last one before the competition) so get your entries in and fees paid. Also, if you have been following the thread on a possible new class of unregistered Outlaw trucks, this will be discussed tonight also. Meeting starts at 7.30pm and is held at Moss Street International Hotel, Slacks Creek.

Pretty sure these are still the current rules for anyone chasing them.

Only one weekend left to get everything sorted, hope everyone's ready and raring to go!

For those in Mod and Trophy classes, I am pretty sure Angela and Tim from Digital Still will now be selling their photos in electronic form, a more useable format in today's electronic world! Check with them first, and maybe catch up with them over the weekend for prices. I'm sure they will post something up soon.

Look forward to seeing you there Tim. Will we be able to buy photos on the weekend and get the disk then and there??? Or too much rooting around?

For those wondering, there is currently no talk of cancelling due to the weather and not likely to be. With mostly fine weather forecast for the weekend, it should be business as usual. We have actually had mildly wet weather for the last 2 years at LCMP so it seems to be a trend... If however it is cancelled, an SMS will be sent out to members and nominated competitors immediately and a post placed here as well.

Bring it on!

Pretty sure there will be the bloke there with the big tent set up doing some catering. Maybe ring the park and check.

Tow vehicles should be free for competitors provided they are not used for ANY reason over the weekend. Tow your comp truck in, tow it out, that's it. Again, ring the park to check if you're worried.

Hopefully someone else can clarify this.

Sounds like it should be a great weekend up at tough tracks, just heard from Tash they have had an inch of rain up there and it hasnt rained since tuesday... so its looking good!

As for catering, I'm unsure if Dave will be there, give the park a quick call to find out

Hey Rick, unfortunately we wont be able to sell the discs on location, as we are doing the article for 4wd Action we need to supply them with photos first before we can supply them on our website... but like always, all pics should be up within a week... usually less...

The park said no to meals hope that's true. Hope the wife packs enough beer. Hope Tim is right with the rain. And I hope the wife packs enough beer. Hope Bruce has a good camping spot. For the answers to these and many more questions see you there. Col

Don't be a ShortyIQ smartarse..... I had hit the switch by accident and was not to my advantage. I stalled it about 4 times and stopped started a few times more. All was explained and cleared up. To those who want to stir shit well go ahead. I saw heaps of trucks drive over the 900 point cone on the 2nd track with there front tyre and the rear went out also. 2 wheels outside track. Hey but I shut my mouth.

Hook, line and sinker........

Great tracks. More line XRCC style tracks (ROCKS) Loved them. Heaps of right foot. Sometimes too much right foot. Don't get far when ya drivers door is on the ground :bad-words: . But shit happens and we had fun.
One thing that was a bit disapointing (SP) was the lack of competitors in the challenge class. 7 trucks is slack. There's got to be more out there that want to compete and push there trucks. See what happens next year.........

Pics anyone?????

Fair enuff if it was an accident, but to say it wasnt to ur advantage is bull that was a prime spot to use a front dig and then to go on and say to those that wanna stir shit go well ahead and then in next breath stir shit bout other competitors going outside the track but u kept ur mouth shut, Speak up next time if 2 tyres are out there out, fairs fair. Other than that and the stinging nettles lol was a good weekend, easily the best tracks all year cheers guys.

Next time you're in a boggy creak and ya front wheel is jammed against a lagre rock, get out and drop ya rear tail shaft off and then try driving it. See how far ya get. :? :finger:

"that was a prime spot to use a front dig" Bullshit it was!
To line up for a dig in that we would have had to take it right out to the boundary and performed it, dont you think me and aaron know how a dig is done  did you even no where the cone was??
If you were next to me navigating you would have heard aaron call to me he wanted to do a rear burn and you would have watch me at the cone getting him to do it. ( its weird the official heard it but you didn't)
Why would we call a rear burn with vehicle trying to do a so called front dig :finger: )
why would Aaron then try to drive up the slope in 2 wheel drive only to get 3 stops while i am calling to him he is in 2wd (after spectater's helled out mind you) until he worked out what was wrong and he had hit his switch accidently.
Pull your head in and their was a few guys and ladies who seen the 2 wheel out crap towards the end of the track, sometimes their are rules overlooked at this comp, but unless your a winger most dont bother to bring up small mistakes as the they are their for the fun of the weekend.
