I am looking at building some sliders for my new Colorado and was wondering about mounting points. Now I have thought of using a u shape bracket and bolting through over the top but there isn't much room to get in there. I was wondering if I could create a sandwich type bracket to sit over these area and bolt in, there are 4 of these on the car. Would they be strong enough? they are on the body not chassis is that a no go? I don't really want to weld on to the chassis
Cheers

Also try here http://www.bolsys.com.au/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; he did my sliders on my GQ, great product, he doesnt list colorado but im sure he has done them befor. If he hasnt made them befor and can get hold of a colorado he will make them. They are all bolt on and as i said befor a great product and great person to deal with.

Mark.
I have had a look at both and sent Dave an email yesterday via his website. Am thinking it may be a little cheaper to build myself and get the fitters at work to do my welding.

I dont know if dave has changed, but he used to very slow at answering
e-mails but got aroung to eventually depending how busy things are.
Might be best to call.
He will help out when he can aswell, when i ordered mine he offered to bring them down to sydney for me free of charge cause he was coming down for a compertition so i didnt have to pay shipping. It is little things like that will allways get my business again and also recommend his bussiness to others.
My housemate bought an ex ARB truck yesterday, and when we were picking it up, I asked for a price for the Triton... $650, $115 fitting. With the chequerplate tops.
I was going to have some custom made at mates rates for $1000, I think I'll just get the ARB ones now.....
the arb ones are normaly a side rail into a side step, and if it dosent go to the bull bar it will be just a side step and sort of scrub bar, they wont "slide" over rocks, i can garuntee that as my boss has a set on his patrol(no bar to bull bar) and they bent with very little persuasion
Had the same problem on my Rodeo with no body lift. No room between the body and chassis to get bolts across the top and have a decent amount of metal beyond the bolts too. Be lucky to get 5mm.
So I made mine like this instead. I used 2 x 1/2" UNF hi tensile bolts on each mount bracket. Could lift the side of the car off the ground with a high lift off the sliders (wheels chocked of course)
