homemade rev limiter 1986 swb paj

im constanly hitting valves so i figure i better find a way to make a rev limiter,, now i have no money and just happen to have a tack kicking around with a shift light, i wired a relay to the negative side of the coil and wired the shift light to trigger the relay, so now when the light comes on it kicks out the coil and drops the rpm and kicks back on when the light goes out.. quite genious i think. will post picks if anyone is interested

Man ur engine must be fresher than mine was, I was scared to rev it past 4K!!!

Sigma-galant.com has a heap of techy info like that - also has maniacs with 4g45s that rev to 9Grand!!!

yea the little 2.6 revs out at about 6000 but i put the limit to 4000 so i dont keep over doing it lol i got a turbo for it off of an old triton but it needs to be rebuilt which is about 300$ that i dont have
