Posting over seas

Post by rowenb »

Brought myself a good quality knife from flea bay and it was shipped from the US and was wondering how long it usually takes to receive goods from there. Bit over a week now waiting.

Depends on the knife, you may not get it if its a prohibited weapon. If its ok around 15 days ;)

Also depends if they sent it ship (shipping) or airmail

The ship takes over 4 weeks to sail here, so 6 weeks is the normal time if they sent it that way (ie they are cheap with shipping, rather than posting it as it costs more)

It was sent on 'first class mailing service' and it has an 8" blade and it was said in the posting list that it can be posted to OZ. Its not a over the top knife with crazy hooks and edges just a good looking hunting carving knife. Bit of an impulse buy but i liked the look of it with a beaut wooden handle and solid looking blade, not like the usual crocodile dundee.
