Hey guys
I've got a GQ with a TB42 carby and its got a problem where it is holding revs and only slowly dropping back down to idle. It does this free revving in neutral and whilst driving.
If in neutral i can rev it to say 3500rpm, take the foot off the accelerator and it will take awhile to drop back to idle.
If im driving and changing up gears then the revs will only drop when i let the clutch out in the higher gear.
The throttle spring seems fine, I'm suspecting its some sort of anti-pollution set up?
any ideas?

I beleive this is fairly common, however i cant remember the resolution to the issue off the top of my head.
I vaguely remember a return to idle adjustment that may be required

The plastic rocker that comes off the accelerator cable can stick and cause trouble, otherwise spray silicon spray up your cable as it is most probably sticky. (best to clean with carby cleaner first around the rocker, and blow out the accelerator cable with compressed air). This should fix your problem.

Yeah it turned out to be a vacuum leak, but I can't remember where from, sorry.
