td4.2 GQ RADIATOR recomends????

Gq TD4.2 with a front mount intercooler. looking to up grade rad,

any sugestions on radiator to use??? was thinking alloy but have been told unless willing to spend like 800 or 900 bucks not worth it they all crack???

also anyone no of a good rad for anound $500???

ally vs cooper??

or 3core vs 2core???

i upgraded to a tripple core copper item. for around $400

didnt trust the cheap alloy ones to not crack and wasnt paying 800-1k for a good quality alloy one.

one of my mates put a pwr rad in his gq 4.2 td and its been sweet it doesnt even get to half any more

i had the cheap alloy rads off ebay for my petrol 4.2 and kept cracking in same spot. had 3 radiators under warranty and all cracked in same place

JACK AT JH AUTO PARTS 0407981218 EAST BURWOOD BUT HE DELIVERS, I HAVNT HAD ANY PROBS WITH MINE CRACKING EVEN THOUGH ITS A CHEAPY I PAID BOUT $300, I MADE UP A 4MM EARTH STRAP AND EARTHED
THE RADIATOR, IV HEARD THATS THE BIGGEST MISTAKE WITH ALLOY RADS AS STRAY CURRANT STUFFS THEM REAL QUICK.

I just upgraded mine last week (as doing a V8 conversion).
I opted for a brand new 3 core copper/brass unit for $470...

I was advised against going alloy as they are pretty much disposable items once damaged being hard to repair etc & will leave you in deep shit if out in the middle of nowhere where as a copper unit you can do a quick patch up to get you to safety atleast!!!
