Lately i have noticed that my steering becomes heavy when 4wding when the engine revs are low. If the engine speed is above 1200-1300 rpm i have good, light steering, but as soon as the engine speed drops the steering becomes real heavy. I think this has been happening for a while but since it's been a gradual decline i haven't noticed the degradation in performance. I have inadvertently become good at blipping the throttle when i need to turn. It's just clocked over 300, 000 klms.
Can someone else with a GU let me know if their steering works perfect at an idle speed of 750rpm? I would like to test another for comparison before i rip it off. Also, can you get a rebuild kit for them, or who should i try for a reco item. ? (My GU is a TB45.)
