More and clearer information will give us a better chance of helping.

As it is, "It doesn't work" with little other relevant information is not helpful.

Model of the amp, wiring diagram, exactly what you did to what wires/speakers.....

Scan the instructions and wiring diagram then post them here.

Where have you set the gain levels for the two channels you have wired to the splits?

I think it's time you took it to someone that knows what they are doing before you damage the speakers or amp.

Just do all the mechanical stuff of mounting everything up and running the cables, leave everything CLEARLY labelled with about 300mm of extra cables. Any reputable installer will take about 1/2 hr to get everything connected into the right places and working from there.

most 4 channel amps have a selector on them to change them to 2channel amps make sure this is on 4 channel for a start. that hissing sound means youve run your speaker wires near power wires anyone who knows audio will tell you to run speaker wires well away from any wire that carry's current.

Now assuming your amp is either switched to 4ch or isn't a 2ch to 4ch selectable model, turn gain on both front and rear channels to 70%. Running the gain at max will severely shorten the life of your amp.

make sure full or hpf is selected (there will be a toggle switch on both the front and rear channel near the gain knob usually).

turn the frequency selector knobs all the way up (you can adjust this later atm its just for testing purposes).

Also the round plugs are called RCA's. is there one set coming from the headdeck with splitter cables or two sets of RCA's. on many headdecks with two or more rca outputs only some will be activated and you will have to change a setting on the headdeck to activate it. if you want to test this just change the holes the RCA's are plugged into then if the splits work and the 6x9's dont you know its a headdeck setting.

PLEASE NOTE- three handy tips when installing car audio

1. power wire from battery to amp should always be fuses
2. earth wire should be same size or bigger than power wire and be as short as possible
3. keep speaker wires and power wires on opposite sides of the car.(before anyone mentions something i know opposite sides may be overkill but better be safe than sorry)
