Head Reconditioning in Brisvegas

Hey i was gunna get some prices to reco the heads on my 3.0l V6 paj motor cause the valve stem seals are worn. How much should i expect to pay and can anyone recommend some good shops to do it.

You should be able to replace these without removing the Cylinder heads.

yeah i have heard some tricks with rope but they need some new exhaust studs as well and some new seals.

Don't know how much, but I have had a couple of heads done before by Jondav engines at slacks creek. They do a really good job and the prices are very reasonable.

just need to stick pressurised air down the spark plug hole or glow plug hole (for diesels)

then i have a tool which compresses the spring on top of the head, you just pull it out replace and reassemble, pretty simple, really

I had good success with a place at slacks creek the other day:

I have one of those air hose connections for filling the cylinder with compressed air so that the valve stays up. I think it cost me about $35 which is gonna be heaps chepaer than headgaskets.

Still work out cheaper even IF you had to buy a Supercheap air compressor
