simple 4 inch lift help
I have just intalled 2 inch coil spacers over an existing 2 inch lift, i am about to install new longer shocks, what else will ihave to look at? castor angle? brake lines? How high can you go without changing other parts as i dont mind if i trim the spacers back to 1 inch. I am also asuming my existing 2 inch lift has sagged abit.

Castor for sure, probably longer control and radius arms, your new radius arms can also sort your castor.

And then start saving for some proper 4" springs instead of spacers. (hint: spacers don't flex).

Hey backtracker,
As people had mentioned you are better off with 4" coils rather than the spacers. All they do is give you the height.
In my opinion you can get away with anything up to 3" without worrying about any extra's, although it is a stretch. Springs and shocks will do.
4" and over you will need caster correction (plates or better yet drop boxes), adjustable panhard rods, and extended brake lines at a minimum.
Obviously what ever lift you go with you will need springs and shocks to match.
It does get expensive but your better off to save the coin and do it right and it will reward you in the end and be much nicer to drive.

gee thanks guys for the feedback, the spacers were not that much i would rather pull them out and go witha 3 inch spring and shock and leave it at that. You are absolutely right about the spacers they have hightened the lift but condensed the coil into a much harder ride.
extending the break line isnt a big deal but i would rather stay away from the rest as the driving i am doing is not over the top.
