Heim's to Pins possible on Bilstein 7100's

Post by me3@neuralfibre.com »

The Bilstein 7100's come with Heim joints stock.
My cruiser wants Pins for most mounts.
I can run adapters, but need another 2-3" of length to do so - meaning bump stop extensions. That's unacceptable to me. I like stuffing wheels.

Has anyone managed to swap the heim joints to pins? I've heard it's possible on the FOX units.

The Bilstein fits my needs better as they do a 10" Short Body.

Any thoughts?

Thanx

I've been through all this recently, with Chris at Loktup, and no, you can't adapt to pins and the heims mount with a 12mm bolt.

I tryed to buy the new SRC shocks, coz they look ideal, but superiors customer service was pathetic, so i've settled with EFS exteme's for the time being and i'm pretty happy with them.

Chat to Paul Joyner at Bilstein Motorsports via Steve at Sydney Shocks / Heasemans. They will spin a new end onto the shaft and cut/tig a new end onto the body.
