ls1 clutch
got a marks4x4 ls1 to nissan 5speed just wondering if i need the clutch master cylinder and slave that they sell? all so does a off the shelf clutch fit.
Re: ls1 clutch
I did buy the marks slave and master cylinder because the travel needed from the slave to operate clutch correctly is a lot longer than the nissan clutch requires. Apparently you could get your original slave resleaved but i found it easier to just buy the matching cylinders from marks. All new and just bolt on. I also bought a 12" heavy duty clutch from sunbury brakes online. Was about $750 for new clutch and flywheel. Just ring and tell them what you are doing. It was no problem and works well.
Re: ls1 clutch
thanks for that. i was hoping the master and slave would be a off the shelf product so if you are any where it would be easy to get.
