Hi guys & gals,
Can anyone tell me if the 1985 FJ73 (3F engine) came out with an Automatic transmission?
I'm half thinking of putting an Auto in the old girl, but so far haven't found much info..
Cheers, Ian

Re: FJ73 automatic gearbox
The xfer case on the one I had was a vacum shift one, but yeah, seemed to be your standard landcruiser split case. We took the gears out of it and put them in a mates bundera.
I'd try and use a xfer case that came with the auto, as they come with approx 30% lower low range gearing.
