Looking for advise on what size hi lift to buy for a 2" lifted GU.
I am looking at mounting it to the rear door so the 60" would stick up a bit past the roof rack.
However i dotn want to buy a 48" that will look awsome mounted on the door and be useless as a jack.
I realise ever car is differnet but just looking for what others have done.
Cheers,
Welchy

It won't matter what size you buy...because you'll be looking so awesome you'll never get a flat, you'll never get speeding fines and girls with huge boobies will be all over you.WelchyGQ wrote: However i dotn want to buy a 48" that will look awsome mounted on the door and be useless as a jack.

If you use a highlift properly (i.e you strap the axle to the chassis before you start the lift) you don't need a 60" highlift. If you need a hilift at all.
I have a 48" hilift. It's quite dusty because it sits in the shed. It does make my shed look cool though. A 60" Hilift would collect 30% more dust though. That would suck. Do the 60" hilifts have longer handles? That would make them more useful. Hilift handles are the best thing ever.
Steve.
PS TheOtherLeft FTW There's no better compensation than a hilift on a car. Especially on a car with no sliders. Even more so if it's a 60" hilift. On the roofrack. Flanked by 6 rooflights. Fawk yeah!
PS What's wrong with the standard jack? They seem to work pretty well.

Re: What hi-lift for 2" lifted GU
My 3 in lifted GU nearly maxed out a 60in highlift to lift the front right off the ground. I didnt strap the axle (had nothing to do so) and had to lift from the wing of bullbar. ARB sidesteps will not support a GU. ARB designed lift points in the bar started to fold.
Im sure they have their place, (not as a jack) I could have used mine a little better, but wont use it again!

Oh, and the jack shaft had deflected about 25mm over its length suppporting my GU
