That pinion still looks like its the same size shaft as the early Cruiser and Hilux pinions? That will be its major weak point if it is.

Im just going off the size of the pinion nut.

Its a custom housing im sure there is no issue in adding the steering components that Napsta has allready mentioned above.

Well maybe thats what you should have asked for. Because it wasn't clear that was what you were asking here.

I may be wrong, but the main reasons they are trying this toyota diff is like the 9 inch, it has a nose bearing on the pinion, stopping deflection. The 10.5 inch ring gear allows a bigger ARB, getting rid of the issues some people have had with 9 inch ARB use.
Tony not sure on the strength of the pinion, but I'm sure it will be well tested in the next few months.

Mountain Boy (left) is not a very tall Jeep, somewhat average for these times on 40" tires. She (buggy) is definitely low slung.

She's long, low, wears 42" size shoes, and has a skinny ass (compared to a stretched 107" WB YJ anyhow).

I have Polyperformance looking at complete custom housings ready to roll.

They have done a Currie set-up for me & also a Spider 9 to deliver.

Torchmate have just started one too. I imagine there will be a few competing at KOH this year. Will be interesting to see how they perform - hopefully slower than I do!
