What would you not buy from a wreckers?
In my quest for "Bargains", I've been looking here and there for bargain price parts for my 4b. It got me to thinking who else does this or do most just pay the asking price at 4x4 specialists? The Poll is just to give me an idea of what people in the real world do.

I'm happy to buy most things from wreckers but have a few issues with it:
1. most treat me like i'm a clueless fool* (which isn't far from the truth) when i tell them what i am after, and only after explaining for 10 minutes what my car is can they tell me that they don't have what i am after.
2. wreckers are trying to make money - they have costs etc that they have to cover and so parts are expensive. I prefer to find mates that have the part i need and buy from them.
* - this point stands true for most shops selling car stuff though - most of the time i just give up and let them rant on for a while, say my thank you's and then hang up

You can pick up a second hand head gasket from most wreckers for $0 - $2.50.
How can you go wrong
