battery isolater problem
Have a daul battery set-up with volt meter on second battery.Isolator keeps clicking on then off when car is running.Gauge reads 0 then 14 volts for 5 seconds then back to 0.This happens about every 5 seconds.System is 2 years old had no other trouble till now.CHEERS
Re: battery isolater problem
Are you sure it is connected to the second battery? Voltmeter across output of the isolator should be measuring the second battery's voltage when there is no connection across the isolator to the main batt/alternator. If it is somehow measuring 0 volts across the 2nd batt then you have a connection problem or stuffed battery.
If it is connected physically how well is the 2nd batt holding charge? Have you had it load tested?
