If that doesn't fix it, go to another mechanic, he's not doing it right.
Don't take life too seriously...it isn't permanent.
Re: 80 series camber adjustment
I'd start with an alignment and get a printout of the report so you know the kpi and camber. 80 series axles can bend with abuse so that could be an issue. The only way to correct it is to straighten the axle or use offset bearings. Keep in mind the only adjustment possible is the toe in/out. Everything else is set in the casting of the axle.

No, but look for truck and coach aligment workshops. They are more knowledgeable and better set up to deal with solid axles.

Re: 80 series camber adjustment
Just go to any decent Tyre shop and make sure you get a print out and put it up here to see if it is a camber issue.

Re: 80 series camber adjustment
How much roughly does it cost to get your housing straightened? Ive got constant passenger side oil hub leak. Part time kit fitted but it still leaks heaps. Ive changed the inner and outter about 3 times.

if your housing is bent, offset kingpin sets are a bandaid solution and are not fixing the cause.
check toe in/out
what tyre pressure are you running? I reckjon running lower pressure will tend to cause wear on outer edge of fronts. Especially as the 80s tend to understeer, and more so once lifted and on big rubber
wheel alignment specs
Camber 1* +/- 0.75*
Caster 3* +/- 1*
left and right sides should be within 0.5* of each other for both caster and camber
Toe In 4mm +/- 1mm

Re: 80 series camber adjustment
as for the constant axel seal leak change the brass bush in the knuckle that keeps the axel from flogging around and chewing the seal out also you genuine toyota seals the rubber is better quality cheers daniel
Re: 80 series camber adjustment
Also a possibility is that the wheel bearings have come loose. Especially if you are only going on tire wear. Jack each tire off the ground an try and tilt it up an down. They do come loose at times, especially if the washes wasn't fitted properly.

Re: 80 series camber adjustment
If it's a camber issue it will scrub on the inside of the tyre (negative camber) as it's highly unlikely that your axle will bend the other way causing the wear on the outer edge. More likely a toe or tyre pressure issue.

Re: 80 series camber adjustment with wheel alignment result
They are pretty much spot on. The castor for a pre mid-92 model is 1 degree 45 minutes. This changed to 3 degrees after mid-92 because of the new lowered springs.
Your tyre wear is from the 5mm of toe you had
