hzj105 diff swap to suit 1hd-fte conversion
Hi. I have just about decided im going to convert my hzj105 standard cruiser to a 1hd-fte. Ive been told that the diff in mine runs a lower ratio than the factory turbo diesel models and that when i change it to the h150 box it will rev pretty high on the highway. Is there much involved in changing the diff ratio in these vehicles. Secondly, does anyone know if the h150/151 gearbox can bolt up to my existing transer case. I like the part time 4wd.

i run 4.1 with my FTE in my 80 and its perfect with 35's
if you get a h150 from a std 80 it has part time
what are you planning to do with the car are you going to do a whole conversion as interior and loom swap as well or just a motor swap?
if you just want to do a motor swap pm me and i can build you a stand alone loom to just run the engine (this gets rid of all the extra electrics of the gxl 100 series and body ecu etc)
