hey mate try pouring some chem-i-weld into the radiator so it flows the the head and hopefully it should seal up the head and fix the gasket but this is not a permanent fix best thing to do would be to put a new head gasket in and check the head for warping or cracks currently goin through the same problem with my 2.4 s head it warped and so far the chemiweld is doin its job

Cheers

x2. Most likely a cracked head. Seen some bad examples with massive cracks between the valves and precomp chambers, with the precomps also falling out, but the head gasket still in once piece.

Try finding a copy of the 3L toyota workshop manual online. There are links in the 'bible' link at the top of the toyota forum here. However i think the only one there is a french version. If you're mechanically apt then the toyota manuals are the closest to a diy step by step manual out there.

Yes they do. Mine blew 60K after a rebuild. I had the head cleaned, pressure tested and shaved. Head was all good. Gasket was the problem.

They will blow a head gasket if the head has been off and they never fitted new head bolts!! they are a stretch type head bolt and should be replaced when the head is done!!
