Whats every ones thoughts on intercoolers i have a gu 4.2 turbo ute 99 i want to put a front mount on it but dont wanna loose cooling for my radiator and just not 100 % sur onthe water to air

Regardless of whether you use air to air or water to air you are going to have an additional heat exchange unit in front of your radiator( unless building a comp truck). They can both be made to work very well and both have + and -. In the end it really depends on your budget.

I had a safari front mount unit on my old gu ute, no cooling issues, towed big loads on hot days consistantly with no cooling issues

I had a full radiator size front mount on my TB42 turbo and it never overheated, just used the standard viscous hub fan. soooooo much simpler and cheaper than water to air.
If you have to have aircon then the water to air will fit easier.

yeah budget is sought of what ever i decide but dont think it will be as much as the denco water to air

Beware many of the water to air coolers aren't worth a pich of salt. You need one important thing for an intercooler to work, surface area. Large surface area mean low air speed and more time for the heat to transfere. Small cylinder water to air coolers are poor performers.

i have a water to air on my gq with two water tanks in front of the radiator and each tank has a thermo witch sucks air through them and obviously goes through the radiator aswell this works wel for me altho i havnt wheeled it in summer so i dont know yet what it would be like to wheel on a hot day
white gq wagon with some stuff here and there
