Buying a Maruti/Sierra 1L tray 1996.

Post by Redrockrover »

Huge Site. Well done to all involved. ;)
New member new interest - 4WD for mainly farm and some off road use.
Looking at buying a Maruti/Sierra ? 1L Tray 1996 registered 70,000 clicks.
Seems to be a lot of variation in this model .
Should have got the VIN
What would be a fair price .In very good condition. Private buy.

Cheers

I've seen one go for around $7500- about 3-4yrs ago with a 1.6L engine upgrade the guy originally wanted $9k but it didn't sell.
1.6L carby 8V work in progress, since I'm a noob at this.

Thanks for the reply Firefx4 what motors are being used for the 1.6 upgrade and can they be registered.
Hoping to pick my unit up Tues \Wed.Talking to some used car dealers the comment was with the light weight Suzuki
and height off the ground they are more likely to roll ? than similar size 4WD.
Have been going through a number of Sites along with this one and cant seem to find
a model that mentions a hard top were the roof comes off and the windscreen drops down and rests on the bonnet
by 2 rubber stoppers either side of the screen.
Instant A/C
Cheers All
