HID replacement ballast/globe questions

Post by bakerboy »

not sure if here or the lecy section is the right place but this will have more hits

OK so i'm running 35watt, 6000k hid's in my narva extremes at the moment, i wish to run 50+watt hids instead. can i replace the ballast only, or will globes need replacing as well? the ballast needs to be slimline as i'm running them internally atm in the extremes

cheers

Just the ballasts, the "50W" HID globes are just overdriven 35 Watt units. Also the cheap 50W Ebay kits/ballasts only output about 35W, the 35W ballasts a smidge over 20W.

yeap agree all you need is a 55w slim line ballast...

while your at it why not through in a 70w as the ballast is the same size...
