Sierra with g16 baleno series 1 conversion question

Post by Pauly »

Hey guys

I recently picked up a new toy, it's a 91 sj70 wt with some pretty sweet goodies :) and a fair share of problems :bad-words: but I can't complain because there is no such thing as a free lunch..

The ecu seems to be in limp mode, the conversion wiring it neat and seems to be done "semi" professionaly, there's a few things not wired up like the CEL and the tach and there is a few twist and taped wires in the engine bay...

The ecu and motor are out of a 95 baleno 1.6l 16v, does anyone on here have a link to or an ecu pin out for the baleno ecu? I need to hook up the cel and bridge the diag port wires so I can see what codes the ecu is throwing so I can figure out why the ecu has set it self into limp mode

Cheers guys and I hope to meet up for some 4wd fun soon

Thanks, I saw that thread on redline before but the diagram doesn't match my ecu as mine is the series 1 baleno (dissy/ single coil)
and those diagrams are series 2 (twin coil)

I'm seriously considering swaping the motor I'm building for my gti into the Sierra  seems more straight forward and I already know those motors like the back of my hand

Can you see the number on the computer/ecu? You can then search for a pinout or diagram.
