Hobzee wrote:Hey gang, the Mudzilla is a happening thing. I have two samples and discussing prices this afternoon with Taiwan. Not driven on yet but they look and feel great. I have raced on claws for 3 years with Smithy (yello sub) and these are more promissing - much wider, better construction and most importantly smell nicer.
Wider????
I thought they were the same ....13.5 inch
Great news ... introductory prices will be ball park with what you guys asked for. Price will not be an excuse to put off buying a set. Hayden (haydenmac@iprimus.com.au) is the man to contact through this site for prices, orders, etc. There are limited supplies to start with. As for sizes, the mudzilla comes in 31x11.5,33x13.5 and 35x13.5 all in 15's and 16's. It's a bias ply (5 ply sidewall and 7 ply tread). Over to you Hayden..

once my Claws run down I might cosider them.
But whoever DOES buy them...can you keep us posted on a regular basis on how it's doing I hope it's an X claw guy cause he will have first hand experience in comparing the two.
I know that it can't be helped...being an import n stuff but I was hoping that it was cheaper...In all due respect ofcoarse....And a thankyou goes out to Hobzee & Hayden for the effort to bring them into OZ

The Mudzillas are a bias tyre and not load rated. This puts it in the same category as non radial Swamper, Bogger and Claw.
As for size, I stood it up against a new 35 BFG Muddie (both off rims) and they are the same height. Although the mudzilla is a 13.5 and the BFG is a 12.5 there is way more than an inch extra width. Mudzillas will make your rig look like a roller skate, especially if you put 33x13.5's on a zook. Actually, the first person to do that will feature in our 4WD Monthly ad.
It is also half as heavy again over the BFG. The sidewalls are very thick too. We are going to offer the track hazard warranty with it, like the Pro Comps.
You can check them out at Wandin / Vic 4x4 Show - Feb 16.

I thaught that the claws WERE legal on the road....so people tell me.
Do they weigh the same as the claws?

Had a look at them this week rubber compound looks very very hard! I believe there is only 1 set circulating around at the moment. As stated earlier they are very wide, about an inch wider than my 35 13.5 claws. Aparently the container should be here in early march, hopefully B4 the Pajero Challenge.
