mk body lift

Post by howee62 »

hay guys i have a 1985 mk patrol shorty with a 3 inch suspension lift and i want to know what i have to do for a 2 inch body, what do i have to extend and modify if i have to. Im guessing the usual modify the brackets for the bullbar and shifters for the gear box. But im mainly concerned about extending brakes lines and wirring if I have to...?

Thanks

Best thing to do (with any vehicle), climb underneath and look around for anything that runs from chassis to body. From there you can work out how to modify it or relocate mounts etc. One thing that often gets missed is the fan shroud. Brake lines are usually coiled and will allow the lift. Steering may bind up too, so check how it's going to move when you go up.
Don't take life too seriously...it isn't permanent.
