Where to get a 4" in/outlet airbox

Post by yota eater »

Just wondering if anyone knows where I can get a inline 4" inlet and 4" outlet airbox...??
Looking for one that's not too big maybe 6"-8" in diameter and around 10"-12" long..
Thinkin like an inline pod set up but unsure where to get it from..
It's for 92 tb4.2 carby patrol.. Wanting to do a custom 4" straight through intake..
Any help and info would be good.. Cheers...

i welded a 3inch inlet INTO my landcruiser.
does your stock have the room to put 4inch into it....
cut the original pipe off and weld 4inch in...
scolloping the pipe just takes time....

when welding it....
have a old air filter in......and tighten it..(minimise distorsion)..then tack the pipe in.....and weld it out....with THE air filter in it......
then grab a 4inch steel elbow and weld it to suit...

then it will be right for your vehicle as youve custom made it to fit...

saves time and money hunting one down......will it fit......making the brackets....
and then chasing the right air filter for the box...
And you achieve another custom job......

Donaldson or fleetgard if you want something decent.

e.g.: http://cgi.ebay.com.au/CHEVROLET-SILVER ... 0698168794" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Can then either get a duramax airbox from somewhere or make your own to suit the filter.

Most "pod" filters are so crap you may as well just put a stocking over the snorkel head - it will filter just as well...
