Fuel!

Post by 4x4boi »

Hey,

I have a quick question for those who own a 3.0V6 ( mines an auto) Yesterday the fuel light came on so i went to get some petrol... got 15liters and went here and there and nothing pedal to the metal, nicely :D and today i went to go get petrol again becausethe meter was really down and i noticed that with 15liters i only went 86km  is that good or bad? I run 33's, have a steel bar, roofrack and winch.

Thanks

Dan

I get about the same with my 3.5. My old 3.0 was better on fuel though.

I had a 3.4 litre V6 Prado auto that used more, revvy engine + heavy vehicle=lots of fuel! Also had an '84 Rangie with a Holden 5 litre V8 conversion[auto]that used about 20 litres per 100 kays driven carefully! Maybe a gas conversion would be worthwhile if you do lots of kays? We had a 1999 Magna with the 3.0 litre V6 that was a little thirsty too. But I guess the Paj is a heavy vehicle!

cheers Will.

My 3.0 Gen 2 has one. Doesn't give a whole lot of warning - from memory, well under 50km from first light to no go.
