chasing a good diesel specialist in brisbane

Post by pongo »

ex wife has a 2.8td 4m40 pajero( looks like one i used to own :bad-words: ) that is suffering from rooted injector pump seals. apparently common problem with these motors. supposed to be 2 seals, injector pump needs removal, etc.

Can any one reccommend a good place to go. Looks like i gotta foot the bill. She does know what a worn shaft etc looks like too, so if anyone wants to try and pull one over her/me they wont get far. everyone keeps trying to sell her a new injector pump.

she has done the usual things like hoses, clamps, new filter housings, etc,. all that is left is the seals and going by the 15 pages on a uk forum, its a super common problem, but a cheap and easy fix.

Thanks.

EX-wife?

Anyway, most diesels are not too fast, so if you chase a good mechanic, you will probably catch him.
