solid axle conversion on a 2001 ifs hilux

Post by ruddelllux22 »

hey guys,i have a 01 spacecab hilux that i have recently started modifiying as the mod bug is biting pretty hard at the moment.i put a 2 inch lift in and with a bit of handy work with the gringer i am now running 33's.i know i have wound the bars up too far and it rides like rubbish,i would love to put solid axles in the front, preferrably coil sprung.if anyone in nsw has done this any info on price, best donor parts and even someone who is willing to do it would help me make my decision on what to do

cheers

Go into the members section of this forum, and look at Struths build up, he has done a coil front end conversion on his 4runner.
Or you could look at the current extreme 4x4 mag, hes on the cover
From reading his thread, hes come into a fair few teething bugs with it, but seems to have it all sorted now.

I was quoted on a SAS to my 4runner a few years ago, and it was around the 4-5grand area, and that was to leaf front.
I ended up swapping my runner for a solid axle lux that I have now.
