75 clutch issues

Post by dickie75 »

im having a problem with the clutch pedal on my 75 ute after driving for a while the clutch pedal becomes nearly non existent and only grabs the clutch when the pedal is mashed to the floor. as in its not spongey it just swings in the wind if i were to flick it. it seems to happen more so on hotter days and once the car cools right down the pedal regains its resistance. any thoughts or ideas on what it could be would be much appreciated. cheers

Had similar happen to my 60 sounds like fluid bypass in the slave cylinder, carefully pull the boot back and check if its wet with brake fluid around the boot if so replace the slave cylinder not very expensive and not a difficult job.
good luck :D
