just put a HJ diff in my shorty and Locktup reckons the dirtys to suit are 40 series...does this sound right

Need more details, not very clear HJ diff? center, housing? whole thing what?

Put the whole housing in as well as diff centre.

what HJ diff, we arent in a secret society of mind readers here, need more details for all I know you could be talking about a HJ holden diff under a shorty vitara. HJ6* series? HJ4* series?
