Well finally back and dry!!

Awesome weekend! The competion was run exceptionally well as usual and everyone in the ACT4wd club was impressed.

Myself and Bob my Navi where in the blue Sierra with Rob and Greg in the orange. After a few good placings over the years of competing a first place has made our year!!

It proved to be a tough competion as usual that was made even harder by the weather.

Go the zooks!!

Thanks go to the Canobolas boys who always do a great job.

PS
Bring on the photos!!

Huge congrats from the AT4 club to the Canobolas 4WD Club for running yet another awesome event! And thanks to Tony for letting us all 'take over' his property for the weekend.

Our 3rd year of competing and this time we drew team 1 which gave us both advantages and disadvantges but made for some great driving and strategies within our team. Thanks to my navi Stevie and to Charles & Scuba in car 1A for a fantastic team effort! The tracks we're all fantastic to drive and really got you thinking. After completing Stages 1, 2 & 3 and only some of Stage 4, I was very happy that I could still drive my truck safely back home with no issues. :D

We all had a very enjoyable weekend despite the rain and can't wait for next years event.

At the presentation yesterday in my hast to get the formalities over, I overlooked one important thank you. To Tony and Penny Richards on behalf on the Canobolas 4wd Club and the competitors of this years Tough Dog Toperi Challenge I’d like to thank you for not only the use of Toperi Park but also your equipment in the running of the event. Without your generosity there would be no venue and no event.

next year that winch point at top of stage 2 should definitely be a bonus if you can get a tyre up on it whilst towing your team mate i think.
I was standing not far from this when it happened, But by far the funnist thing was you towing your team mate into the winch point after you running over it.

We had a great weekend despite the weather. Thanks to Canobolas Club & all those who made this event happen.
The poor old Bronco copped a hiden , broke everything 148 points on stage 2 with only one wheel drive at the end, we shattered a rear Dana 70 axle which then rotated the locker air seal in the diff carrier & ripped off the copper air line at the same time destroyed a front hub . We managed to get both front wheels turning for course 3, Big Thanks to the guys from Dubbo club for the use of their welder to weld up the stripped locking hub.
7th place is awesome .
Congrats to all
I think the bronco may be due for a major rebuild ???

Another Toperi Challenge done and dusted, and another big congats to the Canobolos Club for a top weekend  Thank you Tony and Penny for opening up Toperi Park for the weekend. The event flowed well, and the tracks were great.
On track 2 i ended up putting a hole in the front housing, and while taping a bucket to the underside of the diff to catch the oil i had many of the competitors offering to help fix it. I think the only thing i did was disconnect the batteries when a plate was welded over the hole. So a massive thanks to the boys from the Dubbo club and the OnAll4s club who patched up the hole  and all the other people who come over to offer the boys assistance and moral support while fixing it :D The camaraderie between the competitors is tops  . Just gotta learn to stop breaking it in the first place. . . . . . . . . . . :D
No pinion breakages either which was rather nice!

Cant wait for the next one!

Cheers Pricey :D

Awesome slide show Stika.

Congrats to Lithgow Team 2 Jason/Dee and Brian/Rob. 4th place driving reasonably standard hilux's with only 35" tyres on Brians car. You guys on the bigger tyres should be ashamed to be outdriven like this......I know I am :D
In all seriousness they deserved their 4th place and the right to put some bling on the mantlepiece. As did all the top finishes including Al from On All Fours - not sure how you came in 3rd when the car finished on it's side Al ? :finger:

Well done Canoblas club and thanks Tony and Penny for your making your place available.

Howdy all,

Pics from the weekend are up:
http://www.australianimages.com.au/gall ... llery=1096

It was just me doing pics for the weekend, but managed to get most of the trucks I think, in spite of the weather on Sunday. They are sorted into team order, and there are a few crowd shots right at the end as well.

Kev from KAMO is doing the DVD, which I assume will be out early next year. BTW, for those waiting on the Willowglen DVD, I should get them from Kev next week.

Cheers,

Jamie
