Hilux Lift kits

Hi there first time post....
Iam looking at getting a new suspension kit for my ln106 hilux nothing major just 2 or 3 inch lift....
i want peoples opinions on what kits are the best for example superiors efs kit, or dobinson , 4wd1 kits etc....
i want a good kit that wont flog out after 6 months money isnt a huge issue but obviously the cheaper the better to a point.....
and im running 33s winch and bullbar and pretty heavy tray on tha back and do carry loads most weekends going out camping etc

Any help opinions would be great cheers

There's are probably eleventy topics on this but my two cents worth anyway...

My leaves are from Dobinsons (these particular ones sold aftermarket by RAW4x4). Only a 2" inch kit and the lightest springs available at the time 2 years ago. Alloy front bar, tub with canopy, towbar, and it sits marginally bum-down when unloaded. Towing or loaded up it loses about another 15 - 20mm but the flex from these otherwise standard springs has been great. If I bought them again I would probably go one stage heavier in the rear purely because I'm loaded up and tow most days of the week, or just grab a set of Ironman Load Helper springs and unbolt them on weekends!

mine will be dobinsons customs next. just a warning about E nhanced F orby S #^t. they are the worst things i have put on the lux. 6 mths and there sagged in the front and leaning to one side. The rear were sooooo hard id get about an inch of flex. the angle of the shackles at either end are strait up and down wich means youll brake your back every bump you hit. i got the supplyer to take a load leaf out of the back and then the pretty much bent around the remaining load leaf to a point in was dangerous to drive. i wouldnt even send them for scrap steel. but thats just my opinion,

YUP, pretty much the same as above,

I'm running same brand as above and have removed 2 leaves, 1 shorter one and one long one and it still rides like a dog. The next step for me is to remove all but the main leaf and install an anti wrap bar and some tall airsprings, at least then it will carry a load and flex on the weekends. Maybe get some longer shackles as well.

And dont try to say its the shocks, as im running adjustable koni's

as far as i am aware most of the 'kits' have a major lack of technology with them resulting in a spring that is almost or even equal to a stock one with just some curve added. stocko lux front springs generally flex out the stock length shocks, and you cannot fit longer ones unless you either extend bump stops or fit shock hoops. so if flex is what you are after, dont bother. dobinsons have a good name tho. just whatever you do, take leaves out of the rear to give a touch more flex.

Cheers for the opinions guys very helpful......prob goin to run dobinsons leafs with 2" lift and shackles not 100% sur bout the shocks yet ill keep having a look around....im not goin for all out flex as im planning to do a lap of oz soon but yeh just want a pretty strong setup that i can have a bit of fun with when it presents itself cheers

I have efs springs in mine, rides great, flexes great but I did ditch the leaf rear for coils and that's with an extra load spring in the front.

You don't necessarily need shock hoops unless chasing huge flex, I don't have them and reckon I have more then enough flex without over stressing the springs.

Look at the lockup kits, they work great.
