If you are going to the effort to make your own and you are a good welder / fabricator to do your own suspension components then just grab a tape measure and do your own design, you may get measurements of someone else and how are you going to know if they are correct if you cant measure your own up ?
We have seen the most dodgy crap in this industry and it is no wonder the transport dept want to crusify all of us, all i can recommend is if you do your own suspension components dont take risks if you are not a certified / competent welder/ fabricator either have someone help you or purchase professionally made ones.

yep drop boxes are 1 of those things that are easy to make but are under huge impact loads so if u cant weld u might have to ask a favour of a mate or pay.

Some brands move the diff forwards slightly others dont, they range in different heights as well as different designs.
The biggest factor in my opinion is the quality, have a good look at the material used and the workmanship in the welds and machined bosses.
Also properly designed laser cut boxes are going to be better than backyard oxy cut boxes.
Just remember it is your suspension that is bolted to them so they must be 100% right.

and you charge $400 plus per set.
now do you get where i,m comming from
plus you can xray my welds ,or beat the fuck out them and i know mine will survive

Settle down there big fella there workers are qualified tradesman and get paid a bit more than what you may think. Places like superior have too pay good money too get good tradesmen. If you are so damn good at what you do then you should be able to work out how too make yourself a set they are not that hard. I would like too see you make 15sets in a hour if you are as good as you say then you would know just how much welding is in them thats with out the set up and cleaning of them. As far as x-ray and beating them have not ever heard of one of superiors boxes fail and belive me they do cop a floging. Like i said they are not that hard too make so have a go at them yourself.

jeez you are one angry guy by that post.
I was not stating you could not weld or fabricate but my opinion is you should just use your tape measure and measure them yourself if you are going to all the work to fabricate them yourself.
How do you know the designs you get of any one is even correct without checking it yourself, i have seen that much fabricted stuff that is not correct or missaligned in vehicles from not being properly fabricated by guys who are self professed tradesman or "i know everything attitude"
Just so you calm down the guys on the workshop floor are tradesman and the guy who designs our suspension components is an engineer ,oh but out of the 3 sales man only 2 of us are trademan so does that make us bad because luke is only a sales man and has not done a trade as a metal fabrication engineer or something of the like ??
If you want make the trip down to the workshop and see for yourself the quality of the products and then you can make up your new opinion of us.
When you have your own engineering business you may understand nothing is as sweet as it appears, i guess you have welders, machines, employees that never fail or slow down or even have lunch so you could probably get rich from drop boxes but the reality is in business there is more cost than what most realise.
And the guys in our shop are way above award so at least you know that we are paying Australian for labour !
Any way at times it sometimes helps to take some honest help with a grain of salt and not get so worked up as it was only a suggestion.
