Radiators brands - what are the good ones?

Post by TheOtherLeft »

I'm up for replacing my radiator due to a leaky core. My mechanic has told me to replace as opposed to repair.

What are good brands of radiators? I've found SSS, Motorkool and Fenix on ebay. Are these reputable brands? What other good brands are out there? I know of PWR but they don't have a Grand Vit radiator listed.

I have a Suzuki Grand Vit 4cyl.

Cheers.

What sort of car is it in.

I had mine rebuilt with an extra core and the inlet sizes changed for a poultry $450.

Seems a bit silly to replace it when a rebuild is so cheap.

My advice still stands, even if I can't pick out the obvious :finger:

Get a radiator place to check it out and tell you if it is worth rebuilding.

I will always go for a good quality recore rathern than a cheap chinese piece of crud - my last experience was that the chines junk was advertised as 15 fins per inch, but arrived as 11 fins per inch and failed to keep the truck cool.

got an aussie made 4 core 15 fins per inch and never saw the temp gauge move again!
