Winch Truck Challenge Series 2011

Post by WTC »

G'Day all. We are pleased to be able to announce the comp dates for the 2011 WTC Series. In 2011, you will notice we are running a 4 round series, plus maybe another Enduro, depending on time and properties.

The dates are confirmed as;
Feb 12th & 13th
May 21st & 22nd
Aug 6th & 7th
Oct 1st & 2nd

We are also going to offer a four round nomination discount. If you compete in the first 3 rounds, round 4 will only cost you $100 for nom fees.

At this stage, rounds will altinate between Rocky & Mackay. We are looking at multable properties at the moment, so confirmation on venues should be made in the coming months.

We have also made some vehicle and rule changes that will be avialable from the WTC web site, http://www.wtc4x4.com.au" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; as soon as our new site is ready.

If you have any questions, feel free to contact any of the WTC team;
Davo - 0408 500 194
Dukesy - 0412 437 725
Brent - 0414 455 542

So get those rig ready, and we'll see you in 2011.

Winch Truck Challenge Series 2011, CAN YOU HANDLE IT!

Dad and Dave will be back to defend our 2010 title for all 4. Mark you mite want to think about getting rid of your sotty and think of a 5.7...... :lol: Dave will have lots more driving next year as he has his Ps and he drives quicker than me . Hopfully there will be like a 20 min speed stage at each round and a few 4/7 winch per stages with a ground anker and change of direction points D+D

Careful what you wish for Mr Gregg.

We have made a couple of changes to the 2011 dates due to family commitments that have come up (maybe we should have pasted the dates by our other halves first).
New dates have been edited in the first post.

At this stage, Round 1 will be around Rocky, 2 & 3 in Mackay, and the final round back around Rocky.

That is pretty well spot on with what we are keen for aswell guys! More seat time on stages for drivers, and me running around like a mad man doing multiple winches! That's when the naviies who "Can handle it" will shine above the rest!! :D

RGM Racing will be there for all 4 rounds next year . Its simply awsome having a great series so close to home instead of 2 days siting in the truck . We cant wait trucks painted and engine is going back together now :armsup:

Its great to see Jacko and Griffo will compete next year. Congrats to the jacko clan with an addition to the support crew. I only heard at sheetys 40th last weekend. I am a bit behind times with my age problem. It would be great for you guys to stage an event in or around your home town. Count me in for that one. The pensioner

Dont worry Brian, us old fullas will stick together and stick it to the young ones for a few more years yet. Even if we forget which way to go. Looking forward to seeing Dave in the Vitara next year.

The WTC boys will have to go to Clarkies property at Lowmeed to have a look for a round next year It is just unbeliverble like Cruiser Park 10 years ago and I think you will have a few more trucks from south its a bit closer to home.May be a great spot for a 5 day event.

Rules and regs are being e-mailed out now. If you haven't competited before in this series and would like a set please send a pm.

There have been no changes to vehicle specs from the 2010 series apart from one rule regarding rear mounted radiators and some minor chages to make things clearer.

There has been however some substantial rewording of sections of the rules and regs regarding winching, vehicle repairs and series scoring.

Also take note that neck braces are now compulsory equipment to be worn on every stage whilst competiting.

Please make sure you read the entire rule set before posting any questions if you have any.

Cheers
