Hey guys,
Bought a second hand altanator for my poo and in the process of swapping over ive noticed an extra thing my old one didnt.
I cant seem to see an extra line hanging around there.
Cheers.

its just a vacuum line, was running to the factory rear locker actuator on my old patrol. but if ur old alt (the one beside it) didnt have one then you can just leave it blanked off it wont hurt.
Connects directly to vacume shut off valve thingie on my fire wall then through to the fuel pump throttle actuator. 95 St coil cab. When the air con pump turns on, this increases the idle speed. I found this while trying to diagnose why my truck was idling fast. Hose had come off. I'd say just plug it if you have no ac.
Mine goes to a one way valve & then into brake booster. It controls the power of my brakes. Without it I have very bad brakes. I had a split pipe & knew it with 37's. Almost smashed into the rear of someone. My GQ is a 95 model.
Hope that helps.
It's just a spair vac line foe different model pootrols, some need it some don't, if you don't need it seel it off properly as the little rubber cap can come off then you lose all vac. The rubber cover on it is just to keep dust out till fitment.
