75 jumping out of 4h

Post by thehanko »

a mates old 75 with a 2H.

hard to get into 4h as in it might take 5 minutes and jumps out when its in.

mounts etc seem good so i dont think its getting knocked out of 4wd.

would old or low oil cause this, ive asked my mate to check his oil but he hasnt as yet.

or is it simply likely to be worn and a replacement jobby is the go.

I have had similar experience, On mine it was a worn bush in the top of the box where the gear stick goes in. all easily accessible by removing the gear selector boot inside the cab.

Agreed with 80'sman, mine was doing the same thing, but in second gear, put a new selector bush in, and it seems to be fine, havent had a problem with it for 6 months now.
i know the suzukis and hiluxes have the same problem also
