gday folks....

about to get abit dirty and get my doctor skills out..... heart transplant....
old TB42 carby is great but now quite what im after, TD42t..... more like it :)
just wondering if there is any wise ol' sage's out there that could help out with some tips here n there on how to make the next few weeks less painful...
ive done a bit of engine work in the past but no diesel stuff...

wiring looms???
anything i should look to chnge while the engine is out? gaskets bearings etc?

any help will be greatly appreciated.

pretty much 100% finished now, got the diesel in with no real complications what-so-ever which was awesome!
just got a few little dicky things to sort out n she'll be good to go.
massive massive thaks to patrol_uterus(jonsie) n TP for there help and all others who lent a helping hand.

should have a few pics up soon....

hey guys,

got the mav running sweet, but i seem to have not the raddest of brakes, got good brakes the first time i use them, then its like kicking a brick wall. im going to check out the vacuum lines, just wondering if there is any thing else i should check out or if there could be any other problem.....

have you got a one-way valve fitted inline from the alternater vaccum pump to the original petrol black vaccum resevoir ???

yea just had a look 2night, have 2 pipes coming off the bacl of the alternator for vacuum, and one of them wasnt really sealed properly, havent had a chance to drive her yet but hope this helps a bit....
will keep ya posted.....

yea got a 1 way valve in there now.... (its right off the brake booster) will it make a difference were it is in the line?

still no real difference....

the quest continues....

ps any more help would be just tip top :)

i have re-installed the "charcol" canister.....
and moved the vavle to closer to the alternator now the brake go right to the floor the first time (still work.... well slow me dwn) then same thing... nxt few times it just gets harder and harder again.....

Help!

leaving for fraser on tuesday..... really would like brakes!!!
